Roofing is a huge market that has lacked innovation for decades.
Transforming
an industry requires learning all about it, followed by exploding this
knowledge into pieces, and reassembling the best fragments into a new
form that is readily accepted.
The design path started with gaining a deep understanding of traditional roofing and solar products and the needs of each participant in the supply chain: raw materials, manufacturing, logistics, architects, engineers, builders, installers, end users, and government.
The market is dominated by large manufacturers adhering to old ways. In contrast, as a new entrant, Tractile's design thinking was pure, and started with a blank sheet to create the best solution to meet the future needs of roofing and solar using advanced materials and manufacturing processes. Tractile incorporates composite materials, photovoltaics, and solar thermal technologies; and, can be further connected with inverters, heat exchangers, energy storage devices, pool heating, space heating, electric vehicles, microgrids, and grid connections.
Our knowledge extends from the core through to the peripherals.

Tractile is at the forefront of BIPV-T with the Tractile solar tile, which generates electricity and heated water for Domestic Hot Water, in-floor heating and pool heating.
Tractile solar tiles seamlessly integrate with Tractile roof tiles and our unique hook and batten system, creating a strong and lightweight roofing solution certified for extreme winds, hailstorms and bushfires.
Tractile is perfectly positioned to enter the US market, which is seeing a dramatic shift towards green buildings, rooftop solar and net zero energy homes.
In addition to Tractile's products, Tractile America LLC will also source and distribute Tractile roof related accessories including:
Tractile has been designed for easy installation, using common skills. A roofing crew can be trained in a matter of hours.
The Tractile roof tiles and solar tiles have a hook on the back of the tile that interlocks with the Tractile battens. Screws or nails are not required with the hook providing a superior grip into the Tractile batten. A licensed solar electrician is required to install the DC wiring on the roof and to connect the DC wiring to the inverter and inverter to the grid. Installation of the solar thermal heated water requires a plumber to connect the heat exchange tank to drinking water supplies.
The average family home in the USA has a roof area of 2400 square feet. As an indication, installing Tractile solar tiles to just 800 square feet (33% of the roof area) provides enough energy to power the home, charge two electric vehicles and heat showers.
Tractile roofs significantly reduce households' utility bills, fuel costs and CO2 emissions, delivering value and savings. Utilised on a large scale, 100,000 Tractile roofs collectively reduce carbon emissions by 116 megatons, equivalent to planting approximately 183.5 million trees.
Tractile products have won numerous awards from international groups for design, sustainability and innovation.
Tractile was selected by the University of Woollongong team for their entry in the Solar Decathlon competition, held in Dubai (pictured). With entrants from leading institutions around the world, their Desert Rose house gained second place overall and was the winner for the categories: Comfort and Innovation.
These independent peer reviews by industry leaders verified the significance of the step-change innovation Tractile represents.

Significant incentives are being offered to companies establishing manufacturing operations in the USA. Specifically, for advanced manufacturing providing highly skilled jobs and creating products with a renewable energy and sustainability focus.
COVID and the changed relationship with China has demonstrated that complex just-in-time cross-border supply chains pose significant risks to business continuity, in terms of both surety of supply and intellectual property management.
Owning and operating manufacturing located in the USA for the US market is a key strategic objective as it is extremely profitable. Vertical integration around core operations reduces layers of margin in the supply chain, minimising import duties, maximising ex-factory profits and increasing product price competitiveness.
Trac Group Holdings Ltd owns Tractile Malaysia Sdn Bhd where Tractile products are currently made in batch on a smaller scale. The Tractile America LLC factory increases profitability by:

Consumer demand for solar energy continues to increase as homeowners look to reduce costs and move towards a more sustainable future.
2021 was a record year for residential solar in the USA with 21% year-over-year growth, with 3 million solar installations reaching 3.9 GW.
The Federal Solar Tax Credit provides a 26% tax credit on residential solar installations. Residential solar hot water systems also attract a 26% tax credit.
In 2020, California became the first state to require solar on new homes. Another 10 states are set to follow in 2022, including Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Minnesota, Michigan, North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts.
Solar is now a widely accepted solution to reduce bills, reduce carbon emissions and become disaster resilient. The electrification of homes and cars, including charging electrical vehicles at home, further accelerates the solar uptake, with no end in sight.

The Green Building Materials market in the US is estimated at US$64.6 Billion in the year 2020 with a CAGR of 11%.
Green builders already serve customers seeking sustainable building materials and are amenable to an integrated solar roof solution.
Green builders benefit directly from including Tractile in their housing developments, with Tractile made in the USA and easy to install.
Tractile America will target green builders based on location, the number of houses built per annum and the size of their housing developments.
Installers will be targeted in suburbs based on:
Existing training programs and tools will be updated for US partners to sell and install Tractile roofs.
There are approximately 50 roof manufacturers in the USA. Only a handful of these companies are actively supplying solar roofing products. There is a significant opportunity to partner with an existing manufacturer to benefit from their existing networks.
In addition to capital gains, Tractile America is built specifically as an institutional grade annuity investment targeting a 15-20% per annum return.
